FreeUKGEN - (the same people who run FreeBMD) are working to get the censuses 1841 to 1891 online(excluding 1881 as the LDS's have that). FreeCEN - http://freecen.rootsweb.com - is just really getting going but you might get lucky as I have a couple of times. If you click on the Transcriptions link there is a list of counties involved in the project and a status page showing how much has already been transcribed. |
