Hi Mike I just opened my email! Thank you - you're a star. I've just this minute sent you a reply by email! Please let me know if you got it! Kind regards, Suzanne Hi Alan, Thank you for your reply - I shall investigate further and see if he could be the same one. I'm told that sometimes children's ages were changed to make them older for work purposes! So who knows, it could be him in disguise! Thanks again, Suzanne

Hi Mike Thank you so much for offering to help. Unfortunately I don't know any more information about him but he was born in Leicester around 1843/1844 according to the 1881 census. I'd love to find out who his family were as I come from a long line of Tate's who lived in Leicester! Many thanks again for your kind offer. Kind regards Suzanne

Suzanne, The Leicester & Rutland Family History Society is always close today ( Tuesday ) of which I'm a member. But if you can wait I'll have a go tomorrow ( Wednesday ) and find out what I can for you. It's the 1851 census you want me to look at for you, family of George etc.? If any more info can you post it on here for me to pick up before I go ? MIKE. Leicester.

Would anybody please be kind enough to look up my gggrandad George TATE (born c.1843 in Leicester), as I’m trying to find any details of his parents/family. In the 1881 census he’s married to Maria, living in Leicester, with children Ellen, Isabell, Lily, George and Henry. I live in Plymouth, so miles from Leicester and any help would be fantastic as I’ve come to a huge full stop! Thank you, Suzanne :O)
