Neither, FreeBMD are transcribing the GRO indexes between the years 1837-1906. The GRO Indexes cover the whole of England and Wales. FreeBMD have not yet completed this task, some years aren't transcribed at all and others are only partially complete. The monthly updates simply add all the data transcribed in that period, meaning if you were unable to find an entry previously between 1837-1906 it MAY now have been added. |
