I have just tried to visit the 1891 census online, and i registed, but i could not get into view as i had to fill in credit card details for a FREE 14 days viewing, but i have had trouble afterwards..why say its FREE when they know that at some point you will PAY!!!

I signed up for this with a date clearly in my diary to cancel my 14 day trial on day 13. I e-mailed the site concerned and had confirmation back within an hour saying that my trial has been cancelled and no money had been charged to my card

I have also used the 1891 census on ancestry, and had no problems cancelling my credit card after 13 days. I think that they are hoping that people will find the site so good that they will keep it on!! Maggy, Featherstone, West Yorkshire
