Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	Are you positive it's not Leigh-Pemberton? It would be very easy to write an 'e' and and 'i' badly so they linked together and looked like a 'u'. Often 'u' s become 'n' s for some unaccountable reason. See if you can find a piccie of Gen.L-P on the net somewhere- and see if your picture looks anything like him! Good Luck. Rosi. Colchester, ESS

Member Since: February 2003 Posts: 0 Send Message	I have just found a picture dated 1885 of General LughPember___ the corner of the picture is missing and the writing is faded. Were photographs of generals on sale or could this have a link to my family, it was in with family members of the same period. Does anyone have any ideas or know what this name may be in full?
