I have followed all the instructions to upload my tree including choosing ANSEL for my PAF programme. Every time I try again and again but keep getting a message that tells me "No member in the tree matches the owner of the tree. I only have myself on the GR tree and my details match exactly. I have contacted the support team 4 or 5 times and never got a reply!!!!!!!!. Does anyone know what the problem could be as we seem to have to help each other on this one. Thanks

Helena, In the cold light of morning I've remembered something - I had to make sure about the ANSEL format before mine would load too. Hope you get it sorted, Beryl.

Helena I had the same error when uploading from the PAF Gedcom file. I had to go into the options in PAF and change something or other to ANSEL - then it worked fine! Might be the same problem for you perhaps? Good Luck Sally, Coventry - was Warwickshire now West Midlands!

Helena Maybe a daft question but did you delete all records except yourself? Nichola Gedcom is a file format used for saving family trees to enable them to be loaded into different family tree programs. If you have created your tree in a FT program then you can upload it to the GC site to save you re-inputting all the data. Hope this helps. Lynne

Helena, That's too technical for me I'm afraid. Why don't you e-mail support and get their advice? Hope you get it sorted soon, Beryl

Can anyone tell me why my gedcom file will not load? I keep getting a message saying "invalid file, incorrect header/footer"
