I have just been told that there is a downloadable map that you can plot locations of ancestors on to show their migration around the UK.Does anyone know where you can find this?

You could try www(.)multimap(.)com I have found this useful myself, as I was unsure of the specific location of villages and the distances between them. As previous generations tended to stay in the same area, it helps to know how close the places are. Good luck.

I have seen in my various ramblings through web pages that there is some software that will look at your gedcom file and plot on a map where your ancestors came from. However, I cant remember where I saw it - please can anyone help! Many thanks
