Suzanne Some adoption agencies (like the one I work for) will consider individual cases and make a decision whether to contact the adopted person on behalf of the birth parent. Tell the person to contact the agency and ask them whether this is their policy. Lynne Sale

I am enquiring about tracing a child who was adopted in the early 1970's. His birth mother has registered with an adoption association, stating that she is happy to be contacted. Can she now only sit back and wait, or are there other avenues she can take? Any advice would be great.
