Hi Tracy I would think they would let you have as many trials as you wish, but as Alison says you can get info without registering, that way you don't need to give card details.l often go on the message boards with out logging in. Good luck Jude

I am signed on at ancestry as a guest. Alot of the info is block but it tells you hoe many hits a search gets from each database. Sometimes you can get details that help your search on other databases for instance I knew an ancestor was born in Scotland but didnt know where when I did a search it came back Midlothian Parish registers 1 hit so I looked at the site for Midlothian Family history and got some info from there which helped. You dont have to give your credit card details to be a guest.

Thank you Heather, I have looked on the site but cannot find any info or offer on the free trial. I used it a few weeks back, do you think they only let you have one trial Tracy

Hi Tracy As far as l know their is always a FREE tial with Ancestry. But be aware of the finish date,if you dont want to continue, make sure you cancel - they take your bank details and WILL charge you. They will also offer more free trials as you go,so keep a check on the dates.I got stung for $80 and had an awful job to get a refund.Good luck Jude Heather.
