Vicky, PAF site :- www . familysearch . org / eng / paf I have just downloaded this and find it very good. You can not only keep your own Tree but can save other diferent Family Trees. Good Luck. Mike.

Hi, My daughter gave me a copy of PAF. I believe this is downloadable from the LDS. It is easy to use, and the charts etc it can print are exceptional. This is free, although I believe it can be expanded if you register. I don't know if there is any charge for this as I haven't felt the need for it. By the way I have over 1100 names on mine and it is coping very happily. Jim, Gosport.

I have tried several:- -Family Historian - touted as designed in the UK -Roots -Legacy Personal Ancestral File (PAF) Of these find Legacy (which has a free (albeit a bit limited)version the best overall. It has many possibilites for entering, viewing and editing data, it is updated frequently and so on. It generates good web pages. Family Historian offers one excellent feature (and I usually have it running simultaneously on the same Gedcom file for this feature alone) and that is to be able to immediately display a customisable relationship diagram for any person of interest. Otherwise it is about two or three releases off what I would call "good". Chris

Can anyone reccommend a good family tree maker, hopfully a free downloadable one of the net, I'm dying to show my family how far i have got by printing the whole lot out, I don't want anything to complicated, one similar to the GC site, little boxes branching off will do, any help much appreciated.
