My friend and myself went to the Family History Centre near us,I'm afraid they weren't very helpful. They pointed to two chairs and that was it! Other people sitting next to us told us where the microfilms where kept and how to load them in the machines, but there was nothing that I hadn't already found on the internet. My advice to you is try and get hold of a list of the CDS/microfiche that are available,(which I am trying to do) then ask them to order them for you,so that they are available when you go. OOHH I feel I have to stick for my nearest Family History Center,Billingham, they were most helpful and even looked up things on the pc for me coming up with details etc so they are not all the same.
