on the cd is a photostat of the coverage of different census'. Then there are links to websites to download different web creator packages. Also a cool program to repair scanned photographs to make them look brand new.

Yes quite a few adverts, but I thought that seeing it was a '1st edition' general tips on how to start searching your family tree, and the section on certificates were useful. Some of the forms on the CD ROM were useful, if you don't already have pedigree charts etc to fill in. I would guess that as more issues come out there would be perhaps more indepth articles? so i spent 4.99 on the new mag thinking cool it has a cd on the front with different packages related to making your family tree. It also advertises that you can search the census from 1861-1901. I thought great. Too good to be true springs to mind. All it was was a list of the towns that the census covered. I dont know how useful it will be but it teaches me to read properly before purchase. There is however a good package which helps you patch up damaged photographs, not used it yet but it may prove useful. The general content is a bit story based but a few articles where quite good if researching Irish Links as it details what you should do to get round the fact that much of the Irish census info was detsroyed in a fire. It aslo gives you help in deciphering the birth/marriage/death certificates. A bit too many adverts for my liking but im sure people can get something from it. Im doing a bit of a scive at work so ill update the thread with any useful websites in the mag. Has anyone else bought it and had a nit of shoppers remorse. Bri. Leeds (Scouser through and through)
