I have also had some confusing names, an auntie Millie who was really Amelia and an uncle Ossie who was really Osborn!

The list of nicknames at "http://www.tngenweb.org/franklin/frannick.htm" does give Jenny as a nickname for Jane - surprised me! Martin

Hi all Does any know if the name Jennie is a nickname for Jane ? My grand fathers birth certificate states his mother name as Jane, but on the 1901 cencus she is down as Jennie, its the right family on the cencus as all the siblings names and ages are correct. Many thanks Steve Robbins
