I am in the process of trying to expand various branches of my tree but have hit a snag. One of my ancestors had an illegitimate child in 1814 whom I've entered in the mother's maiden name. She later married in 1817 and after adding her partner, he is now shown as the child's father although obviously with a different surname. I've tried deleting the child and the husband without success. Should I have entered the husband as a second partner? My thanks for any help anyone can give!
