Nichola Dudley The Cheshire BMD site was the first to be set up, then the Lancashire BMD and then the Staffordshire BMD. These, as far as I am aware, are the only three counties to start indexing the Births, Marriages and Deathes from the PRO records. They are being done by volunteers from the Family History Societies of the counties and are an ongoing project. It shows on the Search page which areas have been input so far, so we have to keep checking to see if the area we want to search has been done yet. It is a fantastic project and the actual application form to send to the register office can be printed out, partly filled in with names and dates. They are all definitely on my Favourites. Not forgetting the FreeBMD site as well. Good hunting, Vera.
