It may just be that he was away visiting on the day of the census, Ihave found some of my relatives in what appears to be the wrong area because of this. They appear as a visitor

hi doreen,
my friends father ,dob 22-4-23, had what we thought was quite an unusual surname, HARSANT.he lived for many years in the peckham/orpington area, just wondering if you have any info re the origin of the surname.

Hazel this post is 9 years old and I doubt whether Doreen is still a member seeing as she has nil posts. If you try to send a private message by clicking on send message it says the account has been deleted

Have you tried googling the name for its origin?

Just out of interest Hazel, if you put the name Harsant into the Search Trees box above (in the dark green bar), you will see that there are many members on this site who have that name in their tree.

If you find any connections, you can contact the tree owners for further info. Cx.
