I am not sure when he met my Nan but it was before 1937 as that was when my mum was born. Thanks |

Hi Fiona As tracy asked, when did he meet your gran?? this way we know to search prior to this, at the moment we dont know when to start looking? regards Martin |

Sorry should of said, he didnt actually marry my grandmother as he told her he was already married and he said it was to a lady in Brighton. this is my problem..... |

'supposed' to have been married before? Do you have your grans marriage cert - does it say he is single? When and where did she marry him? Why do you think he married in Brighton? |

My grandfather George Charles Searle born 29.04.1899 was supposed to have been married to someone before he met my Grandmother. The marriage took place I think in Brighton East Sussex, but I cannot find any trace. Can anyone help please, I would be extremely grateful as I have been hunting for ages. Many thanks Fiona |
