Member Since: January 2007 Posts: 0 Send Message	Anne, TNA has service and pension records for regular, territorial and colonial units. Two campaign medals were issued for the war, the Queen's South Africa medal (QSA) and the King's South Africa medal (KSA). The medal rolls are at TNA in the WO 100 series. If he died during the conflict, you can apply to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA), they have a database listing all those killed. If he survived, he might have gone on to serve in WW1, in which case you might just be lucky and get his service record from Ancestry. Gary
