Have found a death for Maria Dayton aged 79 June qtr 1945 Dayton Maria aged 79 District Nottingham 7b 294. could this be the one you're looking for? Steph

Anthea She would have been around 43 when Zaccariah died and with a 7 year old I would be more inclined to think she would remarry. Would suggest you do a marriage search for about 10 years from 1916 first to see if you can find another marriage. You will be wasting loads of time searching for her death if she did remarry cos the surname would be different. Am presuming you have Ancestry as you say you have searched to 1919. Shirley

she could have lived way beyond 1917 up to 1970.s and even remarried!. Do you know any more about her. K Hattemore her sister.or sister in law, may have registered the death of Zaccariah because she was too upset to do it herself

I'll have a go if I can. If she is a sister-in-law, surname Hattemore, are you saying that she must be the wife of Maria's brother, so you are looking for a marriage? (Oops, it halps to read the original query properly, doesn't it! - I see that you are saying that if the sister-in -law registered Z's death, then Maria may be already dead?)

Hi, seem to have hit a brick wall at trying to find a death. The person I am after is Maria Dayton formally Hattemore b 1873, she married Zacharia William Graves Dayton on 27 May 1901, they had a daughter b1909, and Zacharia died 23 July 1916.at that time the address was 14 Weiss RD. Putney. the informant on the death cert: was K Hattemore sister_in- law. I have searched B M d from 1909-1917,nothing, so I was hoping a fresh pair of eyes might spot her? Thanks Anthea
