Paula, You mention £35 payment. The Veterens UK website states that there is a £30 charge. Looks like he same address etc. Should I be adding on another £5 for some reason??

Libra, Paula's reply above deals with WW2 service papers very succinctly - I've done it too for my Dad, but it required a 6 month wait, so get your application in quick! The Shackleton thing, well, I have no idea - but what a story! Have you googled to get the low-down on the expedition? If it has a military connection, there may well be records filed as such, but I thought it was more of a private enterprise. In any case, it would be worth looking at the National Archives online catalogue to see if they hold any documentation from the Endurance expedition. If hubby's grandfather went on to serve in WW1, his records may be online at ancestry or reside in the National Archives. NB: If his service went beyond 1921, you'll need to apply to Glasgow as above. Good luck, Annie

Hi Annie. My Hubby's late granfather travel with Shackleton on the Endurance. He has got the picture of him with Shackleton, & the story's about the expedition. So it would be great to get hold of his Military records now. I would also like to get information on my dad when he was in the secord.world war. i do have his number on my birth cert. Cheers. libra.
