	The short answer is NO. To get record of the family in Germany you need to know where he was born and also preferably his religous denomination. Is your surname same as his ?? sometimes the name gives a clue as to where he may have come from, or even his profession.

Member Since: July 2007 Posts: 0 Send Message	i have discovered that my great grandfather was german and came to england in 1902, does anyone know how to get access to german births, deaths, marriages etc, would they have a general registry office to access records like we have in the uk?
