Hi Linda
If you get a chance, could I ask for a look up for Alfred Moore born 1878 in Sheffield who travelled to Chile around 1909. His wife, Emma born 1879 Kilnhurst, travelled not long after apparantly on a ship called Oravia that sank. Emma travelled with her children Florrie, Doris, John and Alice.

If they show, would like to know their departure and arrival points in Chile.

Kindest Regards
Claire

JANE RENWICK FORREST born 1870 in Hamilton ,Lanarkshire, Scotland went to South Africa sometime prior to 1916 when she married there a widower Duncan McColl a builder from Glasgow. His 1st wife had died from TB in 1909 leaving two small boys Duncan 5 and John James 3. I am supposing Jane was hired as nanny but the relationship blossomed in South Africa or she may have met him out there. Jane was the great aunt of a dear friend now 75 and he remembers her going to catch a ship before war broke out and sailings stopped. As he was born in 1932 she must have been home on a visit before the 2nd world war.We found Jane and her will etc.but wonder when she left Scotland and if already employed and accommpanied by the McColl family. Thanks for trying. Frances [email protected]
