Hi Annette, The description of the enumeration district says the south side of the Turnpike road which I would assume is now the main A55 road and this is where Halkyn is, so I think you're OK with your assumption. Janice

I have recently sent for a birth certificate for Peter Jones; place of birth Halkin (or Halkyn), May 1841. This is my family on the 1841: Anne Jones 3 David Jones 11 Elizth Jones 5 John Jones 40 John Jones 1 Mary Jones 35 Richd Jones 7 Robt Jones 15 Sarah Jones 9 Thos Jones 13 Civil Parish: Flint Hundred: Coleshill County/Island: Flintshire Country: Wales Registration district: Holywell Sub-registration district: Flint. There is no mention of Halkin on the census page, their address is Ty Fordd and properties either side are Flint Mountain and Bryn Lock Farm. Does anyone know if these places are in Halkin? Thanks, Annette
