My 3x gr grandfather Robert Alexander, a bootmaker, according to 1851 census was b1784 Gibraltar British Subject. Any clues as to how I find out more about him? Mumsy.

On the 1841 census, daughter Mary is living with Robert and Martha in Chelsea. She is listed as being born in county so you might be able to find out more through parish records. Janice

Thanks for the advice. I've subscribed to the Gibraltar mailing list on rootsweb found in cindi list but can't work out how to post messages there. I'm a bit slow at times but I'll get there eventually. Mumsy.
