Well I would check again with the office (or council if there isn't an office) just to make sure, but I think the groundsman is probably right. Kath. x

Hi Kath, I was given this information off a cemetery grounds man who kindly helped us find my grandads burial site.

I think all cemeteries have their own rules, so if you have been given this information at the cemetery office or council office, then it's probsably right. Kath. x

Recently found his exact burial plot and number. Paupers grave, can see the huge row of them between the headstones. Told if we wanted to give him a headstone we would have to name all others in the plot on the stone with permission from their living relatives. Or place a flat stone on top of exactly where he lays with just his details on it. He died 1949 and is this information correct?
