Well, I've tried every variation I can think of and I've not had any result to try and find my threads, I think they've gone.

Ah well... craziness, on the brightside... we now have formatting on the lead post.

and WHY in Heaven's name is my maiden name showing again after all this time??

Thank you for this: I thought that all my replies etc. had been lost, until I tried the advice above. And it worked.
I wish Genes had put up a questionnaire before they settled on some of the new things on here. I am sure we could have made a better job of things, working with them.
We are financing this, after all, so why were we not consulted?
And WHY, when we pay to joiin, should we have all these blasted winking and flashing ads inflicted on us??

It certainly seems to be a bind. So much easier with the "view your threads" option. I found an old thread where I complained about changes going on in 2004.

I had old and new threads so i thought it had brought up all my posts.

I also had trouble getting the advance search option to work looking for old threads. I tried using my maiden name, married name and also my nickname without success but then when I tried to log in to my account I found using my log in name worked and brought up all the old threads. My maiden name came up with someone elses threads as well. they certainly don't make it easy :(

I've tried that but it's come up with lots of threads with my name next to them, but they are not threads I've started or added to!!

I don't know what they think they are doing to the site, but I'm logging off because although I thought this morning that I liked the new format, they have changed so much again that it's driving me mad.

To find all your old threads go to the "advanced search" option on the left. Put your log in name into the author part and you should find your old threads again including ones you have posted on.

To find your log in name try accessing your account and it should show up there. In "My account" you can change your name in the "birth name" section instead rather that the "surname section".
