Remember how GR said no one could change my board

So how come they have done it without my permission or knowledge and now my private surname is on display to everyone?

Ive gone to my account - which is password protected - and my old board name is on there so GR, how come you have changed my name when you said only I could access my account to do that?

Meanwhile - how do I change it back to a private board name when that is the one shown in my account details so I cant change it???

That has just happened to me. I have now knocked my surname out of my account.

Heather,

I have had to change my maiden name to Baby for my board name to appear correctly.

Unfortunately with GR altering your board name it upsets the Advanced Search results when looking for your own threads.

Just change your surname in your accounts to the board name you want to use. That's what I've done.

I've also found all my old threads by putting my maiden name into the "author" box instead of the name that is on my threads.

Guys, in my account the surname shown is my old board name - Positive Tinker - so I cant change it.
Im SO angry - GR was so snotty when I said someone had changed my board name previously - that no one except me or someone with access to my password could do that - but here we are with my private info on display to the world.

You will need to change your maiden surname and present surname if you don't want them to show.

I tried that too Gwyn but its still showing. I will go back again and try as I wonder if I didnt click on confirm on whatever.

And is that shortened heading another glitch - only so many words in a heading?
