Can anyone help. I thought there was a facility to decide how often you wanted to receive hot matches. Now I can't seem to find it, thought it was in my account details. Is it something else that has disappeared with the changes.

In the Hot Matches section it just says they will be updated every 14 days. I can't see anywhere to change this - and I'm sure it's more than 14 days since I had my last lot.

Maybe they are too busy with all the changes to even think about hot matches.

You used to be able to set it up to receive them anything from a day to two weeks. O well another feature to bite the dust.

The 1 to 14 days is still available - I managed to find so maybe I should get promotion!

Go to Home Page - Box 2 at top Find Ancestors - click on here. New page comes up - on left hand side is a box with numbers 1, 2, 3. Number 3 is Surname Summary click this and your 1 to 14 days are available to select.

UPDATE - Sorry, still can't find it :-(

UPDATE AGAIN - I have found that, but that isn't for Hot Matches. It's the email you get from Genes when so many new surnames that you have in your tree are added - but not hotmatches.

Hi Kathleen - so sorry - I'll take away the promotion I gave myself - but I think it might be what "suepip" wants though because she mentions 1 day to 2 weeks. Perhaps she'll return later to have a look. Jx

There never has been such a facility. GR expect to update approx every 14 days, but there are no guarantees.

All you can do is to choose whether or not to receive an email when Hot matches have been run across your tree.

i.e.
Do you wish to be notified by a hot matches or new names email when another member enters a family name that already exists in your tree?
