Hi,
I am looking for a Francis Reily. I have located him on the 1861, 1871 and 1881 census' but cannot seem to locate him on the 1841 or 1851 census records.
He was born c1826 in Warwickshire poss Birmingham and married Emma Preston on 1848 in Birmingham. He died in 1887 in Warwickshire.
He had the following children: Arthur 1850, Frederick 1852, Charlotte 1854, Kate 1855, Francis 1858, ALice 1863 and Florence 1865.
If anyone can help me find him on the two missing census records or simply give me a hint on where to look next I would be very grateful.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Danielle-Marie xx

Have you tried a 'soundex' search?

Hi Reg,

Thanks hadn't thought of that. What is the best way to go about that if I'm using ancestry to do my search on.

Thanks x

Click the 'soundex' box when you enter the surname...........

Alternatively, leave out the surname, and put in just the related forenames...........and birth info
