This looks like they may all be siblings living together (although the 1841 census doesn't give relationships so can't be sure).

Who were the witnesses on the marriage cert?

well thanks for that judith and carol i hadnt thought of the obvious.with some of my rellies getting married as young as 16 it never dawned on me about them having their parents permission. so perhaps thats it. i have tried to find ann crosston and her family on the 1841 census and had no success. all i know is she was born c1831 either in westhoughton or hindley lancashire depending on which census you look at ( they are very close together ) her father was Peter Crosston occupation weaver cant find anythng on peter crosston
anyone got any other ideas

Full age means able to marry without parents' permission - 21 or over in those days, (nowadays its 18). Don't think any proof of age was asked for so perhaps the lady in question told a white lie - could also be why they went to Lady Huntingdon's Connexion, which was a non conformist church (ie not conforming to the Church of England) and was part of the Methodist movement I think. Perhaps they thought the vicar in the parish church would know she was under age:-)

i have received the marriage cert of my great great grandparents and it is bafling me a little.
RALPH ASPINALL and ANN CROSSTON married 22nd February 1851.
in the column for age it just states " full " what does this mean? i think ralph was born c 1821 so he would have been 30 years old and Ann was born 1831 so would have been 20 years old
( according to census and to the family gravestone )
it also states they married in Tyldesley Chapel in the district of Leigh Lancashire according to the rights and ceremonies of " Lady Huntingdons Connexion " whats all that about ?
any help would be great
