can someone please help me get some infomation on Fred long born 1900 liversedge west yorkshire and his father James long? many thanks.

Do you have Fred's birth certificate?

Liversedge is in the Dewsbury registration area.

There is this marriage
Marriages Mar 1905 (>99%)
ATKINSON Fred Dewsbury 9b 771
GRIMMETT Amy Dewsbury 9b 771
LONG Fred Dewsbury 9b 771
TONG Fred Dewsbury 9b 771
WILKINSON Harriet Dewsbury 9b 771


But no obvious birth for that year

I have searched the 1891 / 1901 censuses but nothing obvious for your names in Liversedge.

As Maureen says, what is the source of your information?

no i dont have no birth certificate all i know is fred long born 1900 liversedge west yorkshire and his father was james long born 1876 ?.

There is a James Long b.1879 on the 1891 census - listed as born Dewsbury - not found him on 1901


There is an entry on 1901 census for James Tong - possible the same family in 1891 as Long - but have not got a Fred with them

There is this possible marriage which might fit with a birth in 1900 approx

Lambert Maggie Dewsbury 9b 1056
Long James Dewsbury 9b 1056
Padgett Israel Dewsbury 9b 1056


But not spotted them in 1901
