Hi Shelley.
On Ancestry there are 6 births recorded in Berkshire with the christian name Shelley. Each one has a different mother's maiden surname. I don't know your mother's surname at the time of your birth so can't be sure.
Can send details by PM if you want.

Malcolm.

Well unless birth mum or another relative can tell you - it doesnt sound too hopeful does it.

Hi all,
how do I go about finding someone if I do not have their surname - its seems impossible!
I was adopted when I was one, and am trying to make a family tree about my birth family with the little information I have.
I want to include my birth father but my birth mum refused to give any information about him to social services, all I know about him is that he was aged 21, in 1985 when I was born, he could have turned 22 that year, his name was Nigel and lived in the harrow, London area.

I am hoping to get access to my birth file, but I have been waiting 4 years so far so I dont think it will happen anytime soon - I doubt if the file social services have will contain any more information about my birth father.

any ideas?

Thanks

Shelley.
