	Hi, Please can you tell me how to find out about land ownership in Duffield Derbyshire in 1851, as I have a relly with 30 acres , but 1861 down as agr lab, I have 2 others in 1841 down as farmers but no mention of land owned. Any Help very much appreciated, Phyllis

	There are Tithe Maps showing boundaries of land and ownership which were drawn up in the 1830's or 1840's. You will find them at the relevant County Record Office. Most farmer's at that time would have rented the land rather than owning it. Kath. x
