Just to be fair, this problem has now been fixed, thanks to Mona at Ancestry. All details reset and working.

Hi Dave,
Back again, tried no password and different variations of it, with the same result, no access. Have just had my subscription renewed automatically, but not sure I'll do it again. Then again, if I can't access my account details, maybe I can't cancel my subscription either!
Thanks for your help, from a frustrated Julie

Hi Dave,
I will try your suggestion, and yes they changed it to family, but I can't go any further than "confirm your account" where it asks for user name & password, when I put family in.
Thanks for your reply, I'll go back and try again without putting in a password.

By 'cannot access my details' do you mean that whatever password you put in it says it is incorrect?

Things to try; when you're asked for the password make sure that the Caps Lock is not on. If it is off and it still doesn't work, just click 'Continue' without typing anything into the password box. You may need to reset the page by going to the home page and then back to My Account

This happened to me and the resolution was to get CS to reset your password. They will change it to Family (I think that's a standard). Once they've done that you'll be able to get to your accout details. Then immediately change the password to what you'd like it to be.

Thanks for your reply Tracy. It must be me! Very frustrating though.

Is anyone else out there having a problem accessing their account details on Ancestry? I have been having a problem for a while now, where I cannot access my details to change my email address, password, etc. Have tried getting support, and they are quite "helpful", but the problem is not fixed, they keep offering to change details for me.
Is it just me?
