Sorry, there isn't an option to look at Rootsweb in Tree format, but you have a number of views that are similar to some of the reports you get on programs such as FTM.

Select the name that you are interested in which will give you a family view. You can then go backwards through the ancestors of forward through the descendants.

To change the view, click on one of the options near the top of the screen.

For example,

Descendancy give you a report similar to FTM's Outline Descendant Report.

Or you can choose Descendant Register, Pedigree or Ahnentafel. Individual taxes you back to the default family view.

Good luck

Hi there. Is there anybody who can help me. I am trying to look at someones family tree on Rootsweb.com. He has advised me only to look at the particular part that I want as his tree is so big!! However I am not sure how I go about looking at the tree, I have found his database, but all I seem to be able to do is search surnames, whereas I would really like to look at the info in tree format to see the full family!! I hope this makes sense, and that some kind person can tell me what to do!

P.S I have no idea how to download a gedcom!!

Thanks

Georgina
