I agree, I bet a lot of people don't realise, maybe they should make it clearer.

Sam, I doubt that my Cousin was aware that he would automatically become a Member or indeed that he still is.

He never put his tree on this site.

I'm sure he would remove himself, if he knew he were on it.

As soon as he registered with GR, he became a member. Just because someone doesn't pay doesn't mean they aren't a member, you can still put your tree on here and appear in peoples hotmatches. In fact the only things you can't do are post on the message boards and initiate contact to other members.

He should remove himself from the site if he doesn't want his details appearing.

I'm still 'getting to grips' with the new site. On the whole it seems O.K.

My complaint? - Names are included on this site of people who are not Members.

A couple of years ago I discovered my Cousins name - I asked him if he was a Member. He was not. He had 'registered' with GR, with a view to becoming a Member but decided against it.

This last weekend, whilst going through my Hot Matches, I found my Cousin as a 'New' Hot Match.

Whilst it may be very irritating for me to go 'chasing' non-members, I wonder how my Cousin would feel if he knew that some personal information about himself was 'on display'?

Does GR have the legal right to print such information?
