I am in New Zealand. Through help fromGR members I have basic baptism record through IGI for Great Grandfather Reuben Walker from Buckland in Hertfordshire.
How please can I get from this basic information to getting details of Reuben's parents or is that not possible?

Roger, if you have a LDS Family research centre near you, you can order in films of Parish Registers, Censuses, and all sorts. That is what I do here just south of Auckland. You can get a print of any pages that interest you. Much more reliable than transcripts or stuff other people put onto various websites, since the film consists of photographs taken of the actual pages in the original books.
