Ozibird, g'day

There's always two ways to do things, alternating is two actions, reset is one action and it used to be the quickest way to see updates.

Why do you need to refresh or F5? Just continue to alternate between oldest & newest.

Ozi.

Thanks all. I still need more please.

The alert is a feature to stop people accidentally ordering stuff twice when they hit Refresh or Back (both of which redisplay a page). The fault is that GR have not allowed for this when they wrote the Script that runs the page.

SueM~West Wales~ You would use Refresh or F5 when you want to see if a new message has come in
since you looked at the page.

David,

If I alter from Newest to Latest the page automatically refreshes to the new format.

However, if I try to F5 after changing the order I get the resend flag. Do you have to F5 to get the alternate order format?

Since changes a lot of us ladies found our maiden name showing instead of our board name - and then the 'surname' being lost completely after we had alerted Genes to this problem. Under your Account details they have a new space where you can insert your 'community name' as you would like it to appear. Hope this makes sense!

Change the Sort by: dropdown, so the list is in a different order. You can try this in the Community pages or Messages lists.

Now click on Refresh, or press F5. Do you get an alert about resending data with buttons for Retry and Cancel ?

If you do - what browser are you using ?

I'm having an upward struggle against customer support to convince them that it happens. Thanks for your help.
