Hi Sharon
You could try The National Archives Kew.
They have seamen's records and some WW2 papers.Put his name in the searcj and see what comes up. You can buy copies online and they post them to you...really useful.
What was his name?

Hi All

My GGrandfather jumped ship in 1915 in Canada. He was killed a year later in France.

Would anybody know how I might find out what the consequnces were if they were caught after the ship run.
