Hi

Can anyone help as I am very confused.

Does anyone know if there is both a Stamford Road and Stamford Street in East Ham,

I have managed to locate details on the 1901 census for people who I think are my gg grandparents but it says that they had a daughter of 3 months in 1901 but I have a birth certificate for a boy.

The only thing I can think is that there are 2 different street names

Thanking in advance for any help

The address on birth certificate says

7 Stamford Road and the parents names are both as birth certificate

But on the census forms it says they had a girl of 3 months in 1901, but my birth certificate definetly says George John Skeet.

If you want anyone to double-check the census for you, you will have to give full details of the names etc

Gloria,

Does the census give the girl a name?

The details on the birth certificate show a George Skeet and his parents living at Stamford Road, East Ham
Parents names being Thomas and Mary Ann (nee Salter)
When I went through the census reports on ancestory it listed the address on report 57 so I checked that one
I discovered that the parents were living at this address as well as with a son and a 3 month old daughter who appears to be called Jane
I then went back to BMD but does not appear to a girl called this in any of the records at all
I am totally flummoxed by this as I have only just started the research and wonder if any of the more experienced among you can point me in the right direction

Thanking anyone in advance who can help

I apologise to Reg as I had read the name to be Skeet and not Street
I am just going to have assume that these are the same people and a mistake was made on the census and work backwards, as I haven't found anything else to indicate otherwise
I have already started going on with the Mary Ann angle and will now go back to Skeet

Apologies once again

Kindest regards

No need to apologise........

Can we just clarify whether the birth cert is actually your relation, and that this is the line you wish to research?

If it is, what is the father's occupation (on the cert)?
