	This question is asked regularly. There are many possible reasons why people don't respond, they may not visit the site very often, they may be on holiday, in hospital etc etc As you say, they may not even use this site any more but their tree is still here. There is not a lot you can do about it unfortunately but keep trying, you will get responses from some eventually - I had a reply about 6 months after the initial enquiry once. Sam x

	Hot matches are computer-generated; there is no input from the other person. People may be on holiday.........ill.........bereaved..........having computer problems......or no longer interested in GR. Reg

Member Since: December 2006 Posts: 10 Send Message	Can anyone tell me why people who are listed as Hot Matches do not answer polite email enquiries? I've had several like this and it's most frustrating. Presumably Genes Reunited does not monitor the usage of this site and so we are lumbered with people who just up and leave? Jenny Dyer
