Hi Pauline,
It looks like the correct record. There's only one Tin Street in Cardiff and it's less than a hundred yards from St German's Church in Adamsdown, Cardiff.

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps

Put in Tin St and to see how close it is to St Germans Church look for the junction of Metal Steet and Star Steet.(St German Church)

Bye

Thank you Von and Reggie, I will e-mail the Cardiff records and see if they can help, Reg it is interesting to see that he may have been born between April and March 1893, I had not looked at the year 1893 so that will whittle it down a little.
Thank you both for your help.
Cheers Pauline

Can anyone help please, is there anyone going to the Cardiff Records office, I live in Spain so cannot do it myself. I sent for the birth certificate for William Morgan born 1894 Cardiff, the certificate was not for him, I have found other William Morgan's born in Cardiff

11a 32 1894
11a 317 Jan/Feb/March Qrt. 1894
11a 295 " " " " "
11a 328 Apr/May/June "

is it possible to check the address on the entry. My William was born in Cardiff. The address for his Father & Mother Joseph & Mary are 12, Tin Street Cardiff. If I could establish the right William Morgan then I can send for the right birth certificate. There are so many William Morgans, so I think by looking at the address of his parents is the answer.
Thanking some kind person in anticipation.
