RA: would be the Royal Artillery and HUT would be were they lived untill the Barracks were built in 1903

Aldershot is still a military town would it be worth writing to Military Museum there is a lot about it on google. Its not far from me and have been to open days etc there in the past. Jx

Ewshot is sort of between Aldershot (Military town) in Hampshire and Farnham in Surrey towards Church Crookham Hampshire. I just googled as it is fairly local to me and i'd not heard of barracks there but its has been demolished.

A family member Harry Blomfield Stanford is on the 1901 census as being in the RS Hut Barracks Ewshot, Hampshire along with lots of other young men. Can anyone shed a light on what they were doing there and the likelihood of them seeing any action please.
