I believe one of my ancestors may have been convicted of a serious offence in the 1930s. Does anyone know how I can trace records of court cases/convictions?

Hi Marion,

I found one of mine in a census in Parkhurst prison. I asked for help and was given a website called blacksheep, this was amazing. I wanted to know more, someone told me try the times newspaper online,
http://www.galaxy.bedfordshire.gov.uk/webingres/bedfordshire/vlib/0.information_reference/online_newspapers(.)htm - remove the brackets. You have to register but only takes 2 minutes.I saw a storey of him in there. Then I went to Kew and viewed the records there, court transcrips and such or someone will do it for you if you ask. Plenty of helpful people on here.

Hope this helps
