I need some help, please, i have just found out that my gr mother was in care/service as young girl, and i haven't got a clue as to where i should starting looking for any info.
I know she was born in 1914 in Hounslow and that she went back to live with her mother round about 1923, in Hounslow.
Can anyone give me any pointers. Many Thanks Karen

Hi Karen you could always try Barnados as my nan was put into care at an early age she was in an orphanage. So i have written to them to ask if it was a barnados orphanage she was in and if it isn't at least i can cross them off my list. Its just a thought it might lead to something. If you write to them you need to put in the letter making connections her name and d.o.b. pauline
