I am trying to find John Thomas Henry DREANEEN moving from England to New Zealand in 1905 (i believe from his death cert). I have used the search on "find my past" website but there is no-one of that surname listed for any year. Does anyone know where else I can look or can anyone please help me??

Many Thanks

This surname is not recorded on Ancestry anywhere in the world.
Is it spelt correctly?

Yes thats how its spelt on his marriage and death cert, i can't find a birth for him though so wondering if he changed his name for some reason when he got to New Zealand??

If you google there are quite a few people with the surname Dreaneen, maybe that would help.

Hi Anna,

Thanks for the suggestion. I have tried googling but thats not been that helpful so far. It was more a question about passenger lists and where to find them. I am started to think that it wasn't his real name and i'll never find a record of him in England.

Thanks

Dawn
