Hi,
Can anyone give some advice on how to start to find for someone who doesnt know much about her adoption. I have been asked by a friend and I am unsure of what your allowed legally and how it really works. Any suggestions would be great, as she doesnt know much and I am prepared to help but I am also unsure. Thanks

Hi Rhonda - it will depend on which state - each state has different laws. In Victoria adoption enquiries go through the Department of Human Services. I can find out their contact details if yr interested.

Hi
Try Bensoc in NSW

It gives you the links to all post adoption contacts in Australia.

Thanks Mick and Geraldine for the replies. I think at this stage it would be Victoria, so I will check out these sites. Much appreciated.
