My father had 11 siblings, I have now found 8 on Scotlandspeople
so I think I only know nicknames for the other three. There are gaps between 1893 - 1896., 1899-1904. 1904-1906 That is the latest date on Scotlands people. I believe the youngest was Elsie so she could have been born 1907. Would there be anything like our electrol rolls. They were all born in Edinburgh. I would appreciate any advice as to where to look next

1906 is indeed the cut-off date so for the 1907 or later birth you need to contact Gros.
If you use the "contact us" form I'm sure they will be able to assist.
We on scotfamtree can do personal look-ups but you would need to register and also give the details.
What about the 1901 census - have you found the family on there?
Obviously there are electoral rolls but they need to be searched street by street

Thank you for replying Woody I will do as you suggested, I do know the streets where they lived from the other births. I did get some from the 1901 census. They dont seem to be on the others.

Thank you agaon

Children aren't listed on electoral roles, only people eligible to vote so I don't think that they will help you.

The parents will be listed though providing they decided to vote.
What are the nicknames of the "missing" ones?
As the earliest birth is 1893 they won't be on the 1891 census - ony the parents should show there.

Hello Woody I am missing Elsie, Molly , and Annie but I have found an Alice which I had never heard of and think she may be Annie. if so she only died within the last 15 years I used to send cards to her. I think there was an Alexandra perhaps called Zena
When Annie died she lived 11/8 Newton Street Edinburgh and the phone No. I had was 031 229 0769
before that she had always lived 46a Torphicken Street Edinburgh I think the phone No. is that address. The family lived at the Torphicken Address frfrom about 1905 before that they lived in Dewar Place Edinburgh.

For Elsie try Els* as she might be down as Elspeth/Elspet or Elsie.
Molly might also be Mary and Zena could be Alexandrina so try Alex* (female gender) - unless it's an unusual surname of course.
Remember you get a list of 25 names for the 1 credit on the initial search so get your money's worth.

I'm not at all familiar with Edinburgh - except the route from the bus station to the Records office and I'll not be doing that for a few weeks!
However, might be worth registering with Scotfamtree - We have a couple of members from Edinburgh and one is Mhairi who also uses here. They might be able to help.
