Yes Woody thats the one but George born in 1856 parents seem to dissapear after his birth and from 1861 he lives with relatives. Thanks |

There's a George born in Sept 1856 to a George Cowie and Margaret Porteous - is that the one you're looking for? |

Thanks Claire but i think thats the wrong one because when i looked up Johns parents name the Margaret had a different maiden name to the Son George that i'm looking for if that makes sense. |

They had a son called George in 1856 but he was living with grandparents in 1861 and an aunty in 1881 but don't know what happened to his parents |

For George and Margaret Cowie married but not sure of there age. There is one with a son called John age 4 in 1861 but that is the wrong one can anyone else find any others. Thanks Debbie |
