Patricia,There used to be a site called police orders.I think its still there but dont give out much information now.I got a couple of police numbers and dates a couple of years ago on it. Annie

Hi

I was at the NA last week looking for records on the Met Police. They certainly covered the Lambeth area in the records. As regards the timings you are after Im not sure if they were covered but believe they may have been.

Have a look at the Catalogue on the NA site and ther is also a really usefull Info Sheet on there too.

Now don't take my word as gospel...lol...but the information you want, if it is available, would probably be available at the relevent local records office(s).

I found details of those who served in the East Riding police force at my local records office

Any one know if there are Police Archives from 1871 to 1901
Have a relative served in Police for this time on census in the Newark, Lambeth and Stoke Newington area
